Piloting the Electronic Medical Record Program

Why:  As a nation, we owe a lifetime of gratitude and support to those service people and their families who have sacrificed for our country. Accurate health history ultimately raises the level of care that we can provide to veterans throughout their lifetime because it allows medical staff to better understand health history, collaborate with colleagues, and tailor treatment plans.

What:  In support of a DOD, VA, private sector medical record-sharing partnership, our team designed and facilitated collaborative workshops to structure and organize initial pilots for the Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record Program, a 10-year, $15 billion health IT transformation initiative.  Additionally, we developed the operating model for VA development and deployment team.
