Fusing Budget and Spending Data to support Business Decision-Making

Why:  To maintain acceptable levels of risk and regional stability in Afghanistan, US Joint Forces demonstrated unity of effort for withdrawing operational contract support.  Technical Assent worked across the acquisition and logistics communities in both the expeditionary environment and Continental US to ensure that commanders have the information they need about their sustainment and support capabilities to ensure operational readiness.

What:  The Technical Assent team architected, developed, and prototyped capability to correlate data on active contracts, contractor personnel, contractor-managed government-owned equipment, emerging requirements, and base closures and transfers – in real time.  This enabled US Forces – Afghanistan to manage the drawdown systemically by seeing the impact of acquisition decisions.
