Ensuring training and personal information requirements are met for civilian personnel deploying with the military

Why. Contractors are part of the U.S. military’s Total Force. In many recent operations, deployed contractor personnel outnumbered deployed military personnel by margins as large as 4:1. However, tracking these personnel is challenging because their personal identifiable information is protected by the Privacy Act of 1974 and special systems and processes are required when accounting for them. 

What. Technical Assent leveraged our Launch-Learn-Make-Do design process to identify important gaps in training for various government groups responsible for contractor accountability. We developed role-based training plans and content that each branch of the military can integrate into their training programs for deploying military and civilian personnel. Since this training went live, compliance for key contractor accountability data has improved an estimated 85%.
