Detailed cost, risk, and schedule analysis for a 16,000 square-foot military training building

Why. After a series of major earthquakes damaged several academic training buildings at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, NAVFAC Southwest needed to restore mission capability as soon as possible by expediting pre-award activities on a design-build construction contract.

What. Our Technical Assent construction-services consultants expedited the pre-award process by integrating directly with the design team and providing incrementally detailed cost, schedule, and risk analyses at each design iteration. Our team facilitated Basis of Design/Basis of Estimate alignment workshops at each design interval to ensure our client received updated estimates and schedules, and a risk register that matched the updated scope from each design discipline. Ultimately, this project involved the demolition of the existing buildings, including environmental abatement, and the new construction of a 16,000 square-foot academic training facility.
