Detailed cost, risk, and schedule analysis for a $39 million radiographic building

Why. Our client’s radiographic building required replacement due to earthquake damage and overall age of the existing facilities. The replacement needed to happen on an expedited schedule in order to restore mission capability as soon as possible.

What. This radiographic building provided mission-required analysis and testing through the use of specialized X-ray equipment. Our team developed a design to meet our client’s needs for this 10,000 square-foot structure, including high-density concrete and process HVAC systems. Due the remote location, the building also required significant civil works. Our consultants estimated project costs in an iterative-design environment, which involved estimate-review meetings with the design team. We also performed alternative analysis for the design team to cost out different wall construction scenarios.
